Matisse Thybulle runs through Philly slang terms in Red Bull video

Matisse Thybulle sat down with Red Bull to run through some top Philly slang words.
For whatever reason, Philly accent and slang terms have taken the main stage across the internet as of late. I’m a Delco guy myself but for whatever reason (massive drug use at an early age) I talk like a stoned surfer from Southern California, so I’m honestly on the sidelines for the entire discussion in the first place.
Regardless, these were all pretty easy.
Matisse Thybulle Deciphers Philly Slang
From the jump, Matisse is hit with “Ard” which is definitely a tough one to start with especially when someone is speaking it rather than just your neighborhood drug dealer texting it to you confirming a spot to meet.
Even Natalie Egenolf was confused about the meaning of “Ard”.

I’m not sure why she deleted the Tweet asking what “ard” means?
Either Natalie thinks it’s a bad look to be a Philly girl not knowing what it means or we have to assume Natalie never had a neighborhood drug dealer. Regardless, I don’t think not knowing what Philly slang means makes you any less of a Philadelphian or not doing drugs makes you any less cool, Nat.
Tweet it and forget it ya know? In my opinion, deleting Tweets only make things worse.
From there, Thybulle pretty much nails everything. I would have mixed in a few other slang terms (citywide, drawlin’) and Red Bull clearly missed on the opportunity to dish out Red Boul.
Seeing some chatter about “Wiz Wit” and Matisse not nailing that question because of “cheesesteaks” but if you’ve been reading The Liberty Line long enough, you know we find the whole cheesesteak thing played out and rather boring these days.
Solid work from Thybulle, even if they were all layups. Now we just need him to knock down a few more shots and we’ll be cruising to the Eastern Conference finals. The Sixers return to action on Friday against Minnesota and James Harden will be taking the court with Joel Embiid.
