The Misery Report: James Harden, Ukraine, Russia, and more

Welcome to The Misery Report. America’s first podcast returned last night for the first time since November 2021. Last night’s episode was the first time since August 2021 since we had myself, Baruti, and Kev back on the mics together for an episode and man, things just keep getting worse on planet Earth.
It’s pretty interesting how TMR, a Philly Sports Podcast, only records when there’s absolutely nothing to talk about in Philly sports. Sure, we touched on James Harden and dove into Ben Simmons in Brooklyn and how Seth Curry and Andre Drummond must be pissed they got caught up in that mess, but there were more important topics to address.
Russia has invaded Ukraine so we tried to contact friend of the show, Mila Kunis (Ukrainian) to find out what’s really going on overseas. Unfortunately she was unavailable to join us last night but promised to join us on future episodes so please, stay tuned.
We dove into Russia-Ukraine, how the internet is divided on whether or not to meme the war or police Twitter and criticize anyone who jokes about it. We check out The Spectator Index and the amazing work they have been doing live tweeting the events unfolding. We watch some raw footage of the war, how Ukraine is turning into Red Dawn, and what Putin is planning beyond his initial attacks. Oh, and RT.com was hacked by Anonymous.
Anyways, take a listen. Or don’t. Whatever.
