Howie Roseman has high praise for Andre Dillard during NFL Combine

There are several avenues the Philadelphia Eagles can go to improve their team this off-season, and one of which is through the trade market. Although things have been quiet so far, teams could be calling the Eagles about former first-round pick Andre Dillard.
For most of his young career, Dillard has dealt with injuries and had been underwhelming, leading to Jordan Mailata taking over the starting job. However, when Mailata went down with a knee injury this past season, Dillard stepped into the starting role and played quite well.
Over four games, he didn’t allow a single sack or quarterback hit, and just 12 pressures. Teams were suddenly far more interested, but Philly held onto him since they needed the depth at offensive tackle.
Howie Roseman was asked about Dillard’s future with the team during the NFL Combine and had nothing but high praise for the left tackle.
“It’s hard to find offensive linemen who can move and who can bend. The amazing thing is Andre is working out every day right now. I’m not allowed to really talk to him about anything, but you can see, he looks great. Upper body, lower body, he’s really determined. He wants to play.”
Now, of course Roseman is going to talk up someone that’s being pursued by other teams, but it’s still great to see. It’s likely Philly will move on from Dillard, and his price tag will probably be a day-two pick based on his ceiling.
Regardless, I could still see Dillard back in Philadelphia next season. The offensive line is always injured, and you can never have enough depth.
