Tyler Linderbaum discusses Jason Kelce comparison, tanks Eagles’ mini-hoop interview

One of the most discussed prospects by Eagles fans ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft is Iowa center Tyler Linderbaum. Over the last season, numerous fans and analysts have drawn a lot of comparisons between Linderbaum and current Eagles center, Jason Kelce.
The two are nearly identical in terms of build while also possessing the same play style as elite downfield blockers. During combine interviews, Linderbaum was asked about the comparisons to the First-Team All-Pro, and he had nothing but praise for him.
“Obviously, he’s an All-Pro, and I’m not quite to his level yet. But it’s pretty cool to have comparisons like that. But I have a lot of work to do to get to his level. I’m going to keep working. Obviously, he’s a great player, but I got a lot of work to do.”
Unfortunately, Linderbaum had a horrid showing at the combine that has pushed me away from wanting him in the first round. During the now well-known Eagles’ interviews, he shot just 1-5 on the mini-hoop.
Real Hoopers Only: If we have learned anything from Ben Simmons in Philadelphia, it’s that anything less than 40% from the floor is completely unacceptable and shows his lack of effort as a player.
Another thing that has thrown me off about Linderbaum is this quote I stumbled upon about his background.
SIX??
Going down the list, you have the well-known football and wrestling. Just guessing that would also have to include basketball, baseball, lacrosse, and likely track. High schools usually have three seasons for sports, so that means this man played at least two sports a season, every season.
How in the hell is that possible?
Between this and Sirianni wiping the floor on NFL Network in a basketball competition, it has surely been an interesting NFL Combine.
