Looking at Adam Sandler’s new movie “Hustle” and all Philadelphia places and faces in the trailer

Last summer, Adam Sandler was all over the city of Philadelphia filming his new Netflix movie, Hustle. The movie is set to debut on June 10th and co-produced by Sandler and LeBron James.
Unlike Sandler’s typical Netflix movies, this one is apparently more serious.
“A more serious picture than the typical Sandler streaming fare, Hustle is the story about a former pro basketball scout (Sandler) who tries to remake his career after he discovers a player with massive potential (Juancho Hernangómez) overseas, whom he mentors to play in the NBA.“

Hustle Trailer
The first trailer for the film was filled with Philadelphia basketball players and some iconic places. Below is a quick rundown everything Philly related.
Shout out Billy Penn who did most of the legwork pulling screen grabs.
Tyrese Maxey

Maxey has flourished into a budding star on the court this season, and will be taking his talents to the big screen in this film. His bright personality is certainly fit for a movie, and if his on court talents are any indication of his acting skills he will shine in his role.
Tobias Harris

Harris will also appear in the film, and has been seen hooping with the Adam Sandler over the summer as well. His stoic demeanor will be interesting on camera, and it will be exciting to see one of the 76ers’ stars in this type of role.
Matisse Thybulle and Kyle Lowry

The local Philadelphian and former Villanova star, Kyle Lowry is naturally in this movie with it being based in the city. His connections with Philadelphia are long standing and there is mutual love from both sides. Thybulle’s screen debut will come in this movie as well, and as a widely liked athlete he will be a great addition to the cast.
Boban Marjanović

The former Sixer and beloved back up center Boban Marjanovic is a perfect fit for this movie, considering his European ties and his film experience. This will be his second movie gig, following his appearance in John Wick 3.
Seth Curry

Being that this was filmed over the summer, Seth Curry was a practical addition to Hustle. Being that he is in Brooklyn now, he seems a bit out of place but he is still certainly welcomed in this city.
Sixers Practice Facility in Camden

The 76ers get to flash their fancy facilities in this movie and place Sandler in the most attractive part of their buildings, giving them massive amounts of free publicity. The scene seems to be short lived, but the team does a good job of showing off in that time.
Wells Fargo Center

The home to our 76ers gets a huge shoutout from this film. A place we are all familiar with is pictured beautifully, giving all of Philadelphia a sense of pride in the house that Allen Iverson built.
Capitolo Playground and Geno’s Steaks

Another staple of the city of Philadelphia gets some screen time, the well known cheesesteak spot will be in the background of the Capitolo Playground hoops scene. While Geno’s is considered a tourist spot for most local Philadelphians, it’s still a landmark in the city for it’s most famous food.
Philadelphia International Airport

The Philadelphia International Airport finds its way into Hustle naturally, with the plot being centered around an international player coming to the United States to pursue his basketball dream.
Federal Donuts

Adam Sandler does his research, and without showing the any of the locations or even having their fabled products, he gets Federal Donuts a shoutout while wearing branded t-shirt in a scene.
City Hall

The city’s most recognizable building is featured in a scene where Sandler and Hernangomez are walking down what seems to be Market Street in Center City.
Manor College

In what seems to be a momentous moment in the movie, the two stars find themselves in Manor College in Jenkintown Pennsylvania just outside of the city. The historical university is the location for the private workout and motivational conversation between Sandler and his co-star.
Just based off of the trailer for Hustle, it seems that Sandler, Lebron, and the movie crew did an incredible job in presenting the city of Philadelphia. They took advantage of the rich historical value of the city and combined it with well known athletes that are embedded in the city’s culture.
That’s not PHL, it’s the escalators leading to the upper level of the Wells Fargo Center done up with signs to pretend to be an airport.
