Eagles expected to have interest in JuJu Smith-Schuster

We are less than 24 hours away from the start of NFL free agency, with legal tampering beginning at noon Monday. The Eagles have struck out on wideouts like Calvin Ridley and Amari Cooper but could have their eyes on another top named wide receiver in JuJu Smith-Schuster.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Philadelphia is expected to have interest in Steelers WR JuJu-Smith-Schuster. At just 25-years-old, the former second-round pick is a highly coveted talent, with the Kansas City Chiefs, Chicago Bears, and Jacksonville Jaguars also in the mix.
After undergoing shoulder surgery, Smith-Schuster missed most of the 2021 season, recording just 15 receptions for 129 yards in five appearances.
Since he has had back-to-back underwhelming seasons, JuJu could be looking for another prove-it deal in free agency. Between the scarcity of talent at WR and his potential, Philly could make out big if they can land the former Steeler on a four-year, $40 million contract.
It’s been made clear that Howie Roseman is searching for another elite receiver to pair with DeVonta Smith, and Smith-Schuster could be the perfect fit. Although the Eagles have three first-round picks, Roseman likely won’t want to spend a first on a wideout for the third season in a row.
Alongside Smith-Schuster, the Eagles have been connected to Chandler Jones while also exploring the trade market on Deshaun Watson.
