Eagles to bring in Georgia defensive tackle for a pre-draft visit

Free agency is still underway, however it appears the Eagles have started to move on to the NFL Draft next month. Yesterday morning, Jonathan Gannon was spotted alongside other top NFL coaches at Georgia’s Pro Day, and it looks like they might have their eye on someone.
Defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt told the media that he has a visit planned with the Eagles alongside the Raiders, Buccaneers, Jets, and Chiefs.
These meetings are quite common, but this is the first one we have heard about so far and shows the Eagles aren’t satisfied with their defensive line just yet.
Georgia has a lot of stars in their front seven projected to go in the first round, with most fans enamored by DT Jordan Davis and LB Nakobe Dean. Wyatt is another first-round talent that has gone a bit under the radar because of these two.
At 6’3, Wyatt’s stock rose following his elite combine and Senior Bowl performances, and he is expected to be a mid-first-round selection in the 2022 Draft.

During the 2022 season, Wyatt recorded seven tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks for the Georgia Bulldogs. It’s hard to put up big numbers with the players he was surrounded by, but the talent is there.
With an enormous amount of draft capital in this year’s draft, it’s likely the Eagles will want to select another high-end talent on the defensive line to help sustain their success.
