Garrett Wilson: “It would be a dream” to play for the Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles were in attendance at Ohio State’s Pro Day yesterday taking a closer look at Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave. They were also there to take a closer look at 2023 QB prospect C.J. Stroud.

Wilson is considered the top wide receiver prospect in the 2022 Draft, looking to be a potential top ten pick. Although he might be off the board before the Eagles’ first selection at 15, Wilson said yesterday that “it would be a dream” to play for the Eagles.

Garrett Wilson told the media that he grew up a die-hard Eagles fan, despite living in Ohio and Texas his entire life. To be clear, I’m totally fine with hating on Dallas Cowboys fans that live in Philly and have never been to Dallas, while also praising non-Philly residents who root for the Eagles.

Wilson said it would be a dream to play for Philadelphia, and his favorite players growing up were Michael Vick and Desean Jackson. He also revealed that he met with Sirianni, saying that their meeting was amazing and insightful.

“Coach is really good people. We ended up having a conversation about the offense, and he got to know me as a person. It would really be a dream to play for them.”

Wilson also brought up Eagles receiver DeVonta Smith.

“He was the best receiver I’ve ever seen in person. He’s a freaking dawg. Us two together, man, we would cause some problems on the field.”

During the 2021 season, the Ohio State wideout recorded 1,058 yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging 15 yards per reception.

Wilson isn’t the only Eagles fan on the list of draft prospects for the birds. Heisman finalist Kenny Pickett also grew up as an Eagles fan, living in New Jersey. Philly treated Pickett to dinner during his Pro Day but doesn’t seem interested in taking him in the first round next month.
