Darius Slay hints at Eagles pursuing free agent cornerback

Earlier this week, the New York Giants released cornerback James Bradberry in a shocking move, and the Eagles were expected to be amongst the teams pursuing him. Now, Darius Slay appears to be hinting at Philly bringing in the former Giants corner via Twitter.

The 28-year-old is coming off a productive two-year stint with the Giants totaling 101 tackles, 35 passes defended, and 7 INTs. He’d be a welcome addition, but the market is sure to be competitive.
Philly pursued Stephon Gilmore, but they struck out on the 2019 DPOY while former CB2 Steven Nelson agreed to a deal with the Houston Texans. Last season, Slay tweeted similar things out about Nelson before the two sides came to a deal, and he also tried to recruit Odell Beckham Jr. to the Eagles last season.
Hopefully, the Eagles will be able to land Bradberry, as either Tay Gowan or Zech McPhearson is projected to be their starting cornerback next season.
