Moreland — 5’11”, 182 pounds — appeared in seven games for Houston last year recording two tackles.
The 26-year-old spent the prior two seasons in Washington totaling 86 tackles, five passes defended and one interception (against Carson Wentz).
He’ll likely serve as depth at the nickel position behind Avonte Maddox, having spent most of his playing time in the slot.
“The People’s Corner” joins an already crowded DB room that currently consists of 14 cornerbacks:
- Darius Slay
- James Bradberry
- Avonte Maddox
- Zech McPhearson
- Josiah Scott
- Kary Vincent Jr.
- Josh Jobe
- Mario Goodrich
- Josh Blackwell
- Andre Chachere
- Tay Gowan
- Mac McCain III
- Craig James
