“The Michelob Guy” lands big sponsorship deal after viral moment at 2022 PGA Championship

Viral sensation “The Michelob Guy” has gone from folk hero to fully sponsored celebrity overnight. Michelob ULTRA tracked down Missouri native Mark Radetic after he blew up on the internet for being the only fan without his phone out while watching Tiger Woods at the PGA Championship.
The Michelob Guy now has his own beer ad and line of merch:
This is what you love to see. Sure, Michelob ULTRA would’ve been wise to print the shirts through our corporate overlords at DSGN Tree, but that’s only a minor detail in an otherwise uplifting story.
I’m a firm believer in living in the moment. If Tiger Woods is in front of you, why the hell would you watch that through your phone camera? There will be videos online later.
Even though he stood alone, The Michelob Guy got it 100% right on this one, and it’s clearly paying dividends for him. Just look how happy he is while saying, “Ultra has offered to give me, as they said, copious amounts of Ultra.”

He’s clearly a reserved man, but he has a twinkle in his eye akin to that of a child on Christmas Day. If you’re not moved by a man getting free beer for just standing around and watching golf, I can’t help you feel more human. That’s up to a therapist.
Or a bartender.
Either way, The Michelob Guy officially cracked the code. Viral moments often take hold of those who least expect it, and, in a way, that makes him all the more deserving.
More people need to take a page out of his book. Put the phone down, have an $18 beer, and just enjoy your surroundings, whatever they may be.
Sure, you probably won’t get a massive sponsorship deal out of it, but that’s okay. On the other hand, you might get drunk, and there are certainly worse things than that.
He’s a god damn American hero
