Bold WFAN caller says Nick Sirianni almost fought him over his Giants cap

According to a WFAN caller, Eagles coach and visor enthusiast Nick Sirianni nearly got into a scuffle on a South Jersey basketball court. The reason? The caller was wearing a Giant’s hat, which our Head Ball Coach did not take kindly to.
Here’s the caller’s story about the interaction with Sirianni:

If this is real – which it undoubtedly is – I think Sirianni has a permanent place at tailgates regardless of how his coaching tenure goes. He did something every Eagles fan would be proud to do themselves.
Sure, some might think saying Brian Daboll and the Giants suck is a bit over the line, but I disagree. Daboll is a good coach, sure, but the Giants are an embarrassing organization. What they’ve been doing for years is the dictionary definition of “sucking.”
To the WFAN caller, that’s what you get. I don’t care if you’re a Jersey native. South Jersey is Birds Country. It’s basically South Philly East these days with all my fellow paisans living there.
The only thing that would have made this story better is if the guy swung at Sirianni because that would give Nick full license to whoop his ass. I don’t wish for violence to happen often, but this is an exception I’m more than willing to make.
It also seems that a ton of people, Philly fans included, are skeptical this happened. Honestly, that makes no sense to me. It’s far from the craziest sports stories to come out of Philly at any time.
The Blogfather from Crossing Broad, Kevin Kinkead, summed it up well in reply to the Elite Sports NY tweet:

Whether or not you believe it happened, it still reflects incredibly well on Sirianni. Either he’s willing to come to blow to protect the honor of the Eagles organization, or Giants fans are so afraid of him and his offensive firepower they’re throwing mud at him.
Either way, it’s a win for the Birds.
