Preview: Zack Wheeler takes the mound; Phillies look to split 2-game series with the Atlanta Braves at 12:20

The Phillies look to split their short 2-game stint with the Atlanta Braves. Zack Wheeler (9-5, 2.77 ERA) gets the ball for the Phils, going up against left-hander Charlie Morton (5-5, 4.34 ERA).
Last night was an ugly one for the Phillies, capping off a successful trade deadline with a 13-1 loss to the Braves. Although the Phillies got absolutely clobbered, the team did acquire CF Brandon Marsh, RP David Robertson, and SP Noah Syndergaard.
In the process of acquiring those players, the Phillies DFA’d Jeurys Familia and Odubel Herrera while letting go of Logan O’Hoppe and Mickey Moniak. Although the O’Hoppe move was a bit questionable, it’s great to see the Phillies organization finally making the right moves at the trade deadline.
