D.J. Moore breaks up brawl at Panther’s disastrous ‘fan fest’
Panther’s receiver and known Philly guy D.J. Moore assumed the role of peacekeeper during an open practice today. Two fans appeared ready to throw hands with one another before he stepped in to calm down the situation.
Here’s the video of Moore’s de-escalation tactics:
This whole mess is just embarrassing for everyone but Moore himself. This wasn’t even a game. Not a game, not a game. Practice.
It was “Fan Fest,” an event I assume is meant to be fun for all involved. There are no stakes to the occasion, yet it nearly devolved into fisticuffs at the drop of a hat. How does that make any sense?
The best part about this is that these idiots didn’t even seem to realize that D.J. fucking Moore was in the stands asking them to stop fighting. Meanwhile, they plead their case as to why they were right and the other was wrong, like a couple of school children who just got stopped by a teacher in the hallway after acting up.
I mean, what does this say about the Carolina Panthers organization? Do we really need DJ Moore (known Philly guy) jumping up into the stands to stop fights? I wouldn’t want to see DeVonta Smith or AJ Brown jumping into the stands pulling double duty as security, would you?
More importantly, this also goes against the “Philly has the worst fans” agenda, which is always a win in this city. It’s even better that former Imhotep Charter student D.J. Moore broke up that tomfoolery in the stands.
I’m not going to resort to the classic hoagiemouth move of saying, “If PhIlLy FaNs DiD tHiS!!!” Just know this is a victory for us Philly fans. It’s nice to see one of our own on the good side of one of these altercations.
I know the heat these days makes people crazy, but these two guys should really be embarrassed. What could you possibly be fighting over? I don’t care how many beers you had. It’s fucking practice, guys.
Whatever you do, kids, don’t be like these clowns.
