WATCH: Robert Griffin III raced a hawk in ESPN’s Monday Night Football pregame show

Robert Griffin III raced a hawk in ESPN’s pregame broadcast before the Denver Broncos took the field against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football.
Robert Griffin III Races Hawk
For whatever reason, people thought this was impressive.
Like usual, the internet is completely wrong.
While I think the segment idea is fantastic, the whole setup is incorrect. The hawk trainer was standing right on the finish line, rather than past it, which ultimately allowed the hawk to slow up and glide into a finish to get his bait.
RGIII wouldn’t have stood a chance if the trainer was 25 yards beyond the finish line. I’d bet my life on it.
Then of course, you have Booger who is already screwing up on Monday Night Football before the week one kickoff. It looked like the hawk won? He can’t be serious. The gliding hawk wasn’t even close to winning.
My favorite reply to the video:
I’m not condoning spiking the hawk but man, that would have been absolutely wild to watch. If you want to boost viewership and get people talking, have RGIII stop on that bird or like Mike Kojonez said, grab it and Gronk spike it into the ground while America watches in terror.
As for RGIII, he went on to say that he thinks the Cowboys just called him.
Although the Cowboys should probably look to find another QB after it was announced that Dak Prescott would miss 6-8 weeks with a broken thumb, I doubt Jerry will be hitting up Griffin. RGIII has stated that he won’t officially retire and is currently keeping his options open on a potential return to the NFL, but he’s going to have to do more than beat a gliding hawk in a race.
That, and the fact Skip Bayless is already convinced that Cooper Rush is just as good, if not better than Dak Prescott. Sheesh lol.
