Good News for Cam York
The designation of “day-to-day” is generally good news. While it may be good news here, I’m afraid we are dealing with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Ivan Provorov was considered day-to-day during the preseason, and he ended up playing the first game. He hasn’t missed a game since, and he’s been robotically playing excellent hockey for 23 minutes a night, like usual.
Cam Atkinson was considered day-to-day during the preseason, and he ended up never making the first game. Or any of the other games after that. Actually, now nobody is sure when we can see Atkinson suit up for the Flyers again.
Then there’s the Ryan Ellis situation, who saw his status “evolve” from day-to-day to week-to-week, and finally: season-to-season.
So I will take the good news for what it is while being ever mindful that I’m dealing with the Flyers… and situations tend to “evolve” an awful lot around here.
