Eagles Injury Report: Two players sit out Tuesday’s practice after sustaining injuries in Week 8

After notching their seventh win on Sunday, the Eagles will be back at it this Thursday night down in Houston. With such a quick turnaround, the team released their first injury report of the week on Tuesday.
Two players appeared on today’s injury report from the team.
Eagles Tuesday Injury Report:
- DT Jordan Davis (ankle) – DNP
- CB Josiah Scott (ankle) – DNP
Both Davis and Scott were carted off the field during Sunday’s contest against Pittsburgh.
Davis reportedly suffered a high ankle sprain and will likely miss four to six weeks of action. The team hasn’t confirmed the diagnoses just yet, but all signs are pointing towards a lengthy absence for the first-round defensive tackle.
The team has a bevy of defensive tackles to work with. It’ll be up to Jonathan Gannon to mix and match his personnel to help mitigate Davis’ absence, especially in the running game.
As for Scott, the severity of his injury is not yet clear. Even if it’s not a serious injury, the probability of the nickel corner being ready to go by Thursday night is low. Thankfully, the entire starting secondary is healthy entering Week 9.
Aside from Davis and Scott, Philly looks like they’ll be completely healthy when they suit up for their Thursday night contest against the Texans.
