Darius Slay was “low-key jealous” that Reed Blankenship intercepted Aaron Rodgers last night

Earlier this week, Darius Slay mentioned that he wanted to pick-off Aaron Rodgers to add to his GOAT balls collection.
Slay has seen Rodgers over a dozen times on the field mainly due to his time with the Detroit Lions from 2013-2019. However, the Eagles CB has never intercepted a pass from the future Hall of Famer. He has picked off two other GOATs throughout his career, Tom Brady and Drew Brees.
Last night, Slay failed to get a pick from Rodgers, but Eagles’ rookie Reed Blankenship did get an interception, which Slay wasn’t very happy about when speaking to reporters post game.
Darius Slay jealous of Reed Blankenship INT
“I’m low-key jealous too. I ain’t gonna lie,” Darius Slay said. “Because he got [Rodgers] before I did and I’ve been in the league 10 years. F—ing rookie, you know what I’m saying? But kudos to him. I’m happy for my dawg.”
Reed Blankenship Interception
Blankenship, an undrafted rookie, was forced into playing time last night after starting CB CJ Gardner-Johnson exited the game early with a rib injury. He played 34 defensive snaps last night and made a few big plays for the birds defense.

Reed Blankenship vs Packers
- 6 tackles
- 1 TFL
- 1 INT
- 1 pass deflection
No update as of this morning on CJ Gardner-Johnson’s injury, but at the very least, it looks like the Eagles will be in good hands with Reed Blankenship getting increased playing time until he’s able to return.
