Michelob Ultra to debut special 76ers cans

Michelob Ultra is creating limited edition NBA holiday cans for 19 teams. Of course, the Sixers received their own special can design, and I must say, it’s pretty damn slick. These cans will be available starting 12/5 for the duration of the holiday season.

I’ve had my fair share of Mickies in my day, but never in a can like this. The TLL crew crushed a few buckets down in Arizona between margaritas and High Noons.

That said, if they came in these cans, we’d likely have ordered a few more buckets for the boys. Personally, I’m a sucker for holiday-branded alcoholic beverages, and this one is no different.

Basketball in Philadelphia – much like the holidays – for some is incomplete without an ice cold beer. These cans fill that two-pronged need to a T.

In their press release, Michelob gave credit to the six designers that helped bring these cans to life. The Sixers were blessed with the work of Jossana Torrocha, who has done a tone of work for major streetwear brands like KITH.

“An experienced illustrator and graphic designer, Jossana’s inspiration stemmed from the role currency plays in basketball slang to create designs for the New York Knicks, Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers.”

Plus, Michelob released a neat little video showing off the cans from all angles. It’s clear they pulled out all the stops to make these cans special, and it shows in the presentation.
