Eagles News: Jalen Hurts makes history, wins NFC award for second consecutive week

Two weeks ago, Jalen Hurts became the first player ever to rush and pass for 125+ yards in a single half.
His 310 total yards against Green Bay earned him NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors, and one week later, he’s taken home the award again.

Hurts continued his stellar 2022 campaign last Sunday vs. Tennessee, throwing for 380 yards and three TDs en route to a 35-10 victory. His 29 total TDs to just three INTs on the year have him neck-and-neck with Patrick Mahones for the NFL MVP award.
The 24-year-old is the first player in Eagles history to win a Player of the Week award in back-to-back weeks. He was also named the NFC Player of the Month back in September.
Leading his team to an 11-1 record, all signs point to Hurts getting a massive extension next offseason when the Eagles are legally able.
