WATCH: Eagles CB Darius Slay trolls Giants for not drafting WR DeVonta Smith

The Philadelphia Eagles always seem to get under the New York Giants’ skin, on and off the field.
This past weekend, the Eagles walked into MetLife Stadium like they owned the place, completely dominating the Giants from start to finish. Philly pulled their starters by the beginning of the fourth quarter and the Giants were left with more questions than answers.
During the 2021 NFL Draft, the Eagles front office pulled off another win over New York, when they jumped ahead of them to snag WR DeVonta Smith at tenth overall.
The New York faithful were not happy about that one
Following this weekend’s blood bath, CB Darius Slay decided to troll New York for their inability to get Smith before the Eagles did.
“Thank you, Giants,” Slay said. “Thank you for letting us trade up to get Smitty, because we knew y’all wanted him. And you see what he did to y’all today. Thank you, thank you very much.”
After losing out on the Smitty sweepstakes, the Giants traded back from the 11th pick to 20th, where they selected wideout Kadarius Toney, who’s no longer on the team. By trading out of their original draft pick at 11th and allowing the Bears to jump up for QB Justin Fields, the franchise also let pass rusher Micah Parsons fall right into the Cowboys’ lap at 12th overall.
New York really goofed on that one, huh?
Classic Giants move.
