Micah Parsons backtracks comments on Jalen Hurts, says viral clip took what he said out of context

Micah Parsons described himself as “The Most Hated Man in Philly” when he met with the Dallas Cowboys media today.
Parsons, who has been public enemy number one in Philadelphia since appearing on Von Miller’s podcast, was quick to backtrack his original comments regarding Jalen Hurts leading the NFL MVP race. If you need a quick refresher on that fiasco, you can read all about it here. Jalen Hurts, Jordan Mailata, and Jason Kelce all spoke on the situation yesterday as well.
Micah Parsons talks to reporters regarding Jalen Hurts comments
“Obviously, they took small clips and just took one line of what was really talked about…no disrespect to Hurts. I think he’s doing a great job this year”.
Micah Parsons is clearly learning the hard way that he can’t speak as freely as he might like about whatever topics pop into his head. He landed himself in some hot water last week commenting on the release of Brittney Griner and now is walking back rather innocent comments about Jalen Hurts and the NFL MVP race.
How many times are you going to back track dude? There are rules to the Eagles vs. Cowboys rivalry. Everyone talks shit, and we keep it moving. Honestly, it looks even worse with you surrounded by reporters saying that the podcast was altered and/or wrongfully edited to make it look like you said something that you did not. However, I don’t really think it was the case.
I get Parsons was trying to be respectful by (rightfully) giving Hurts credit, but at this point, he should have gone full villain-mode and doubled down on the Hurts slander.
At the end of the day, thank god this story can finally end. I couldn’t do another two weeks of lame talking points trying to figure out if Hurts is just a “system quarterback” or an actual candidate for the NFL MVP. Pair that with the Embiid “Sixers Fans Want Me Traded” comments and put them both on the back burner.
Let’s kick the crap about of the Chicago Bears and go home for the holidays to watch Hurts, and the birds ruin the Dallas Cowboys yet again.
