Nick Sirianni provided an update on Jalen Hurts’ injury on the WIP Morning Show

Nick Sirianni hopped on everyone’s favorite radio station, Audacy’s SportsRadio 94WIP, to give an update on Jalen Hurts’ shoulder injury.
It was determined yesterday that Jalen Hurts suffered a sprained shoulder late in the third quarter against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

All things considered, it doesn’t appear that the injury is that serious and if Jalen Hurts actually needed to take the field this weekend, he certainly could have. Luckily, the Philadelphia Eagles are in complete control of their destiny for the remainder of the season and only need one win over the final three games to secure the No. 1 seed and a first round bye in the playoffs.
Here’s what Nick Sirianni had to say on the WIP Morning Show
“He’s attacking his rehab right now,” Sirianni said to Angelo Cataldi and the WIP Morning Show. “We’ll see what happens this week. It’s not something we deem to be long-term but we’ll see how it goes this week and see what happens this week and if he’ll be able to go at Dallas.”
Sirianni left the door open to play on Sunday, but again, there’s really no need to rush him back onto the field against Dallas. Gardner Minshew will start against the Cowboys, while also getting his favorite receiver in Dallas Goedert back from the injured list.
Sirianni expects Minshew to be up for the challenge
“If he has to go, we’ll have 100% confidence in him because he can ball,” Sirianni said. “I think he proved that last year and I think he’s proved that throughout his career.”
Minshew and Goedert connected on six catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns against the New York Jets last season.
Again, the Eagles are just one win away from clinching the No. 1 seed in the NFC and a first round bye in the playoffs. It would be icing on the cake if Minshew Mania did it under center in Dallas on Christmas Eve.
