Garrett Stubbs to represent Israel at World Baseball Classic in 2023
Phillies catcher and team DJ Garrett Stubbs will be joining some of his Phillies teammates at the World Baseball Classic. However, he won’t be suiting up for team USA with J.T. Realmuto, Trea Turner, Bryce Harper, and Kyle Schwarber.
Garrett Stubbs will represent Israel in March 2023:
This is exciting news for the Phillies backup catcher. As we saw on this World Series run, his energy is infectious. I’m sure he’ll be a welcome addition to the Israeli dugout.
While I’ll be rooting for Team USA, I’ll definitely have to tune in and catch Stubbs rep Israel. It will be electric to see him lined up before the games ready to go. You can see all of Team Israel here.
Stubbs also had some huge moments for the Phils. While his time was limited playing behind the Best Catcher in Baseball, he managed to leave his mark on one of the most historic seasons in Phillies history.
