Phillies Pitchers and Catchers Start Date Announced
The first day of pitchers and catchers is always one of the year’s best days. It’s usually a long wait for Phillies fans, but after their magical run to the World Series in 2022, the team had to wait just two and a half months for the season to start back up again.
The 2023 season is going to be a special one in Philadelphia, with the addition of star shortstop Trea Turner, along with Taijuan Walker to the rotation and Matt Strahm to the special Phillies bullpen.
A ton of marquee young players will get their shot at making the 40-man roster, including star-prospect Andrew Painter, along with guys like Griff McGarry, Mick Abel, and Johan Rojas. This spring training will be big for young players to shine, as guys like Kyle Schwarber, Trea Turner, and JT Realmuto will be taking part in the World Baseball Classic.
