Jimmy Rollins: The Phillies are the team to beat in the NL East
“I am ready to say that; who’s to prove me wrong? Those boys can go out there and beat everyone if they believe like we believe, especially the moves of bringing over Trae and some big arms. They can win the division”
The Phillies fell just two games shy of the World Series title last season, losing to the Houston Astros in six games. With the new additions of star shortstop Trea Turner, along with Gregory Soto, Matt Strahm, Craig Kimbrel, and Taijuan Walker, the Phillies are starting prove that they’re an elite team that is ready to win again in 2023.

Jimmy Rollins’ Notable Accomplishments
All-time Phillies hits leader:Â Jimmy Rollins leads the Phillies franchise in all-time hits, with 2,306. He passed players like Mike Schmidt, Richie Ashburn, Ed Delahanty, and more to obtain this honor.Â
Shortstop History: There’s one shortstop in the history of major league baseball with 200 HRs and 400 SBs…that shortstop is Jimmy Rollins. Jimmy wasn’t the type of guy that would go out and hit 50 home runs every season, but when Jimmy wasn’t hitting home runs, he was finding gaps, finding grass, and flying around the bases.
MVP:Â Jimmy Rollins is the only shortstop in the National League to win MVP in the last 25 years. The last shortstop to do it was Barry Larkin in 1995, and before that, Maury Willis in 1962.Â
The battle for the NL East is going to be a bloodbath, but the Phillies are ready to fight.
