WATCH: Jalen Hurts defeats Brock Purdy in epic college clash in 2019
This year’s NFC Championship Game is set with Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles hosting Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers Sunday at 3 PM on FOX.
The pivotal showdown isn’t the first time Hurts and Purdy have faced each other, however, as the two led their respective schools in an epic clash in 2019.

Hurts and Purdy combined for 678 total yards and 11 touchdowns, with Iowa State falling just short of a comeback victory after a failed two-point conversion. My assumption: nobody thought they’d be going head-to-head three years later with a Super Bowl appearance on the line.
