According to reports, the Philadelphia Union are in the process of finalizing the acquisition of Joaquin Torres from CF Montreal.

Torres, an attacking midfielder/striker was not at training with Montreal today is now reportedly joining the Philadelphia Union, who kicked off the MLS preseason over the weekend in Clearwater.

Jaoquin Torres tallied seven goals and 12 assists in 55 appearances with Montreal.

All things considered, it looks like the Union and head coach Jim Curtain have shown interest in Torres throughout last season.

I know nothing about the Joaquin Torres rumors, but I do know Jim Curtin has publicly stated how much he rates the player.

He doesn’t often single out players in press conferences.
