Chris Simms bends the knee, admits he was wrong about Eagles QB Jalen Hurts

ProFootballTalk analyst Chris Simms has been a stark Jalen Hurts denier for the better part of the past two seasons. From leaving the Eagles QB off his top-40 quarterbacks list last season to spouting out nonsense about how Daniel Jones is a better thrower of the football just last week, Simms has placed himself squarely in the hater category.
Until now.
A day I never thought I’d see has finally arrived. Chris Simms has officially bent the knee to House Hurts. On Monday’s edition of PFT Live, Simms admitted that he was in fact wrong about Jalen Hurts this entire time.
Chris Simms: “I was wrong”
“Hey, I was wrong … yeah, I questioned how good he was. Crap, he’s definitely a top-10 quarterback in football [with] what he’s doing,” Chris Simms said Monday.
“He’s one of the greatest leaders in the sport,” Simms continued. “You could tell right there [in his postgame press conference], he doesn’t even seem happy that he won the NFC Championship Game. He seems like he’s still chippy and like ‘I’m gonna prove you wrong still more.’ I love that about him. I do.”
In all honesty, I never thought Simms would back down from his Hurts slander. He seemed like he was going with the Skip Bayless approach. Never relinquish on a take. Stand by it for your entire existence, no matter how outdated it may become.
Thankfully, it appears Chris Simms isn’t a total hack. Good for him.
