Jonathan Gannon had no idea he was interviewing for Cardinals’ head coaching job until Howie Roseman told him to stay in Arizona

Well, all things considered, it looks like the Philadelphia Eagles did leave Jonathan Gannon in Arizona.
Eagles fans got their wish after new details about Gannon interviewing for the Arizona Cardinals head coaching job were revealed earlier this week by Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia.
Jonathan Gannon Never Left Arizona
According to Zangaro, Jonathan Gannon had no idea he was going to interview with the Cardinals until Howie Roseman told him on Sunday night after the Super Bowl that he would be staying in Arizona to interview for the head coaching vacancy.
Look, I have no idea if that’s true or not. Seems kind of sketchy, honestly. The media picked up that Gannon was a candidate for the Cardinals’ job nearly 12 hours before the Super Bowl, so I find it hard to believe he had no idea he would be staying in Phoenix following the Super Bowl.
Shane Steichen was on Jim Irsay’s jet immediately following the Super Bowl to head to Indianapolis. If Gannon had no idea he was staying in Arizona after being named a candidate, then maybe he is actually as dumb as his defense looked in Super Bowl LVII.
With the Eagles losing both of their head coordinators, they’ll now be on the search to fill those two holes. Brian Johnson is expected to be promoted to OC, while the team has requested permission to interview many different coaches for the DC position.
