Eagles Buzz: CJ Gardner-Johnson takes a shot at fans, Jalen Hurts on Twitter

CJ Gardner-Johnson simply cannot stop tweeting and deleting tweets on Twitter.
Gardner-Johnson recently signed a 1-year, $8M deal with the Detroit Lions after it was rumored that the safety turned down a bigger contract with the Eagles. CJGJ was approached with a deal from Howie, declined it, tested the market, and ended up taking a smaller deal after Howie went elsewhere.

The tweeting and deleting really all started after the departure of Jonathan Gannon. CJ tweeted that Gannon didn’t put the players in position to make plays, which probably struck the eyes of the Eagles’ front office as a bad look, which all things considered, it definitely is.

CJ has now tweeted and deleted multiple times over the last few days, but two this morning are really making headlines. It all started with a shot at Philly fans, saying that we called him “overrated” and switched up.
Honestly, while the tweet definitely rubbed some fans the wrong way, I have to agree with CJ Gardner-Johnson here. Philly fans in general wanted to keep CJ in midnight green at all costs. It’s the only thing you saw all over social media. The second he left, everyone did in fact, switch up sides and immediately started to call him “overrated.”
No arguments there.
Still, CJ continues to bash a winning organization that again, according to reports offered you more money than Detroit. Sitting on Twitter and getting involved in the drama just seems like a waste of time at that point. As we all know, Twitter is basically the depths of hell in terms of sports fandom, why even acknowledge shit like this?

CJ proceeded to delete this tweet about five minutes after it was posted, which has become a common occurrence with the former Eagles’ safety. He then tweeted once again, taking a pretty obvious shot at Jalen Hurts. Why? Who knows.
CJ Gardner-Johnson: “Hurts don’t it”

Is Gardner-Johnson just using the “Hurts don’t it” thing as a troll job? Probably, but still, it’s not a good look. Whatever helps you cope. CJ said yesterday in his introductory press conference that there’s “no bad blood” between him and the Eagles organization, but that seems not to be the case.
At the end of the day, good riddance. You’re no longer in Philly so I don’t know why anyone (including me with this article) is even giving CJ the time of day. For athletes in general, you’re all multi-millionaires and while I understand it’s the offseason and you have time on your hands, there are literally MILLIONS of better things to do than argue on Twitter and get fans riled up over this type of nonsense.
Go ride a jetski or travel the world maybe? I don’t know.
As Drew Smith has constantly told everyone here at The Liberty Line…
“When we sell this god forsaken website, I’m going to delete all social media, travel out of the country, and return 10 years later to murder everyone at TLL and their families”.
Psychotic? Sure. But while that may seem extreme, it’s better than tweeting and deleting.
Moving forward, the Eagles have already started to fill the hole at the safety position as they agreed to terms with former Bucs and Saints safety Justin Evans yesterday.
It is blatantly obvious that he is an immature kid who lacks proper guidance and, oh yeah, he can’t speak English…
I’m going to tell CJ the same thing I told my ex-wife “tell your story walking out the door”
