Cringeworthy: St. Louis Cardinals run Ford F150 marketing campaign disguised as an NL Central Championship parade on Opening Day

Major League Baseball is BACK and Opening Day brought us a ton of great (wild) content from ballparks all around America.
In St. Louis, the Cardinals celebrated winning the NL Central with a full blown parade inside Busch Stadium. Why? Well I certainly have no idea, but let’s take a look at the video from yesterday’s event.
St. Louis Cardinals NL Championship Parade on Opening Day
You’re confused. I’m confused. We’re all confused.
From the music, to the pathetic NL Central Champions banner, to the sponsored Ford 150 trucks driving around the stadium, the St. Louis Cardinals made complete fools of themselves.
You’re talking about a team that lost a 2-0 Wild Card series to the Philadelphia Phillies in their own ballpark, which for whatever reason, is considered to be the best baseball city in America.
Jean Segura delivers and at the same time, The Liberty Line was down in Arizona with Phans of Philly watching at one of their epic Phillies’ Wild Card events.
Now, they are basically just collecting advertising money from Ford, acting like winning the NL Central and getting swept in the Wild Card was some type of achievement.
St. Louis Cardinals Ford F150 Marketing Campaign

What was the St. Louis Cardinals marketing team thinking? If you wanted to collect a fat paycheck from Ford, then don’t try to mask it as some type of NL Central Championship celebration. Park those trucks right outside the ballpark or in the concourse and let fans come check them out throughout the game.
It’s a shame too, because I was really starting to warm up to Nolan Arenado and Paul Goldschmidt after the World Baseball Classic. There’s no way our guys from Team USA approved this type of shit.
Anyways, if you’re going to have a celebration on Opening Day, there’s really only two cases where that is acceptable and surprise surprise, winning your division is certainly not one of them.
The Houston Astros can definitely celebrate because, ya know, they won the World Series last year (pain) and the Philadelphia Phillies can celebrate because they won the National League.
Everyone else? Absolutely not.
Have some pride and don’t sell out for a Ford F150 marketing campaign.
The cardinals run their players through the stadium in trucks every.single.year. it’s tradition. You clearly don’t understand baseball. Or traditions. People like you need to keep their dang mouth shut.
Satire idiot.
