Last night, we wrapped up MLB Opening Day 2023 and we might already have the fan video of the year. A Dodgers fan jumped the outfield wall last night to propose to his girlfriend, only to be DECKED by a security guard before getting an answer.

Okay so a few things here…
That security guard was waiting his entire life to unleash a tackle with that type of force and last night was his lucky day, having a guy out on the field down on one knee and not moving.

Typically when you get a “runner” out on the baseball field, there’s a high risk that as a security guard, you’re going to be running around like an idiot while the entire stadium laughs while some drunk idiot dances circles around you.
Not last night.
Reverse Angle of Dodgers Fan Getting Decked
The kneeling target was a guy, trying to impress his girl by proposing while out on the baseball field, focusing only on his girl in the stands with no idea that there were three security guards foaming at the mouth, ready to take his soul with every ounce of force they had.
It’s a shame too, because Lourdes Gurriel Jr. was actually applauding this dude and turned around to watch the proposal then immediately threw his hands up on his head in complete shock as the security guards truck-sticked him into the outfield grass.
Then, to make things a million times worse, you have the ballpark crew immediately dropping DMX “Ruff Ryders Anthem” as the poor guy lays lifeless in the outfield, not even knowing if his girl said “yes”.
Just a brutal way to go out.
To be clear, it was a valiant effort from the guy to try and do something unique with his proposal.
Could you imagine if she ended up saying no after this entire situation unfolded?
Or even worse, she said no BECAUSE of this situation? Seeing her man lay lifeless on the field while security arrests him while the entire ballpark watches on in complete shock must have been one hell of an experience.
Now, every single sports website on the internet is writing about it. Sheesh.
I’m sure we’ll get additional updates from the couple after things calm down. At the very least, the Dodgers should make this right by hosting the wedding at Dodger Field.
That is of course, if she said yes.
