Gilbert Arenas says Sixers fans owe him an apology after walking-back comments on Joel Embiid being lazy

On the most recent episode of Gil’s Arena, Gilbert Arenas talked about Joel Embiid’s dominant performance and him locking up the coveted NBA MVP Award.
Here’s what Gilbert Arenas is now saying about Joel Embiid:
“He’s the most dominant and skilled man in this game, and no one can stop him. So why isn’t he averaging 40?… That’s why I said he’s lazy. 52 is what I see him doing.”
Gil’s Arena Video Clip: Gilbert Arenas on Joel Embiid
If we’re being totally honest, this just sounds like a creative walk-back from Gilbert Arenas.
A few weeks ago, he came out on his podcast and stated that Joel Embiid is lazy and takes possessions off late in the games and that he plays like he’s tired.
He also already said that Nikola Jokic was the MVP over Embiid regardless defense.
After Embiid drops 52 points on the Boston Celtics while shooting 20-25 from the floor, you come out and say “Sixers fans owe me an apology! Embiid should be averaging 40+ points per game! He just scored 52 and is unstoppable!”
Yeah, okay Gil. Whatever you say buddy. You’re like a bi-polar mean girl dude. Get it together.
Regardless, believe it or not, I actually do like Gilbert Arenas.
I always have and probably always will. He’s a different personality than someone like Kendrick Perkins who embarrasses himself on television every day and he’s definitely not anything like the dorks over at The Ringer.
Assuming he’s actually serious and not just looking for an out after his comments from a few weeks ago, then I can live with what he said on the latest episode of Gil’s Arena.
Not that I agree with him, but for fans of the Sixers and Joel Embiid, you know damn well that an “off-night” for Embiid is basically 30 points and 10 rebounds. As a fan base, we have been so accustomed to Embiid dropping an effortless 30 and 10 a night like it’s no big deal when really, it’s a huge deal.
That’s why he should win the MVP and will almost certainly take home his second consecutive NBA Scoring Title.
