Ump Show: Max Scherzer ejected from today’s Mets game due to a ‘foreign substance’ in his glove

Max Scherzer was ejected from today’s Mets game after umpires apparently found a foreign substance in his glove.
Max Scherzer Ejected for Sticky Substance in Glove
Honestly, the funniest part of this video continues to be the fact that the New York Mets sponsor patch is fucking huge.
What an embarrassment that is to the organization.
I mean look at this thing, it’s HUGE.

Forget about your ace starting pitching being a total cheater.
That is second to the fact that I can’t even focus on what’s happening in the video because of that horrible patch taking up half the screen.
Scherzer was initially checked earlier in the game and was asked to get a new glove.
Also, the first rule that was broken here was Phil Cuzzi putting his hand into Scherzer’s glove.
That’s disgusting and should never happen and outside of the horrible sponsor patch, I would rank that as the second biggest issue of this entire situation.
Scherzer was issued a warning before being investigated again, pleading with the umpires that it was just the MLB issued rosin in his glove and nothing more than that.
Max Scherzer Ejection: “It’s Rosin”
What a bizarre situation here as a Phillies fan. I can’t stand Max Scherzer but at the same time, I absolutely hate umpires and the way that Scherzer acts on the mound, especially after being checked once already.
Umpires are way too emotional and always look for revenge against a player that “shows them up” so for that reason, it makes me think that they were out for blood and just looking for a reason to toss Scherzer after he screamed at them following the first check.
This move from Phil Cuzzi putting Scherzer’s glove into his chest is INSANE.
That’s also an MLB problem that I would even think about taking the side of Scherzer over their umpires.
Look how far I have fallen to consider such a thing. I’m embarrassed.
Plus, the last thing any baseball fan wants to do is watch a huge delay while umpires are hounding Scherzer over a substance, while fans have literally no idea what’s going on.
Ump Show or Scherzer Cheating and Crying? Tough pick. I guess we got both today.
