Phillies Dog Alert: Major has arrived, and he’s simply adorable

The Philadelphia Phillies’ service dog-in-training Major officially debuted on Wednesday, and, my word, is he a good boy. The 10-week-old black lab arrived at Citizens Bank Park looking his best, complete with a bandana with his name on it.
Major kicked off his Phillies career in style:
I really can’t stress this enough – this dog is adorable. I get that all puppies are cute, but this little guy is putting the dog community on notice as the new it-pup.
The players also seemed to love Major as he greeted them upon their arrival at the park. Being a professional athlete really is a sweet gig.
Moments like this really make me wish I had a dog. But, sadly, I’ll have to live vicariously through the Phillies organization. However, it shouldn’t be too tricky, as I did it for all of October 2022.
What’s great about a baseball team getting a team dog is that they get their own Baseball Savant page. I checked out Major’s, and it seems he only has one stat listed, but it’s by far the most important.
