The Eagles’ 2023 opponents posted a .566 winning percentage last season, which not only gives Philadelphia the hardest strength of schedule, they’re the only team aside from Miami with a strength of schedule above .550.
Their schedule includes 10 games against playoff teams from last year, tied for the most in the NFL. Six of their eight home games come against ’22 postseason teams (Giants, Cowboys, Bills, 49ers, Vikings, and Dolphins). If you include Washington, seven of the Eagles’ eight home games will be against teams who posted a .500 record or better in ’22.
Granted, some of the 2022 postseason teams won’t have the same fate this season. A handful of those teams will take a step back in 2023, most notably Tampa Bay. But, the same can be said for some of the non-playoff teams on the Eagles’ schedule. The Jets are primed to be much better with Aaron Rodgers at the helm. Although Los Angeles seems like they’re on the brink of a rebuild, they still have Sean McVay calling the shots and when healthy, Matthew Stafford is still an above average quarterback at worst.
Obviously, the order in which these games are played, where the bye week falls, and how the divisional games are spaced out will play a role in the true toughness of the Eagles schedule. The NFL is set to release the 2023 schedule this Thursday, so we’ll get a clearer picture on how hard this schedule is soon enough.

Phans of Philly – Road Game Tailgates & Travel
Last season, we joined Phans of Philly in Arizona as the Eagles faced the Cardinals. We double-dipped with the Philadelphia Phillies Wild Card series, which Phans of Philly miraculously planned and hosted TWO watch parties for The Fightins in a matter of hours. The entire experience was fantastic and we met HUNDREDS of Eagles and Phillies fans on the trip that we still keep in touch with today.Â
Phans of Philly has travel packages available now for all games so make sure you get your deposit down as soon as possible or at the very least, bookmark their website so you can plan accordingly on Thursday when we officially have dates for each game.
