Eagles’ Jason Kelce takes home PFWA’s Good Guy Award

If you’ve followed Jason Kelce throughout his Eagles career, you’ll know he’s a pretty good dude. He’s poured a lot of resources into his local charitable efforts and has always handled us crazy Philly fans like a pro.
Kelce is such a good guy, in fact, that he took home the PFWA’s (Pro Football Writers of America) Good Guy Award for 2023.

The Good Guy Award is handed to players for their professionalism when speaking or interacting with media members. Kelce is the 19th NFL player to earn the award, which has been given out every year since 2005. He’s not the first Eagles players to receive the award either. Chris Long took it home in 2018 and 2019.
“To use Jason Kelce’s words about being an athlete in Philadelphia: ‘This city really appreciates accountability, appreciates people being very honest, real, emotionally invested, caring.’ Football reporters appreciate many of those same qualities. Kelce shows them when he deals with the media,” Zach Berman of The Athletic and the PFWA Philadelphia chapter president said in a statement.
Now that Kelce has secured his first Good Guy Award, it’s time to go and snag a second Lombardi.
