Andrew Painter stands up for Matt Strahm on Twitter in the ongoing beef with Jared Carrabis

Philadelphia Phillies top prospect Andrew Painter has joined the ongoing Twitter feud between DraftKings’ Jared Carrabis and Matt Strahm.

To catch everyone up, Strahm took issue with Carrabis saying that his former Boston Red Sox teammate Kaleb Ort “sucked” at pitching on Twitter. In a video posted by Carrabis yesterday, he ripped Ort after the Red Sox pitcher blocked him on Twitter.

Ort was sent back down to the minor leagues after a poor major league stint with the Red Sox, which prompted the Boston native Carrabis to say he sucks.

Strahm didn’t like that and clapped back at Carrabis on Twitter. The Phillies reliever got the start tonight against the D-Backs and allowed a two-run home run early in the game, which of course, prompted Carrabis to tweet the video after his feud with Strahm.

All of a sudden, Andrew Painter popped up in the replies calling Carrabis a scumbag while telling him to be more professional.

Andrew Painter: “Scumbag move, be more professional”

Honestly, I’m going to have to go against the grain here and disagree with Andrew Painter. I wish I could jump to his defense, and I pray to god his reply was just him being a smart ass because if not, that’s a pretty soft response from the number one prospect in the Phillies organization

Think about it. When did baseball players of all athletes take to Twitter to tell content creators to be more professional over a few lighthearted jabs? I don’t even like Jared Carrabis, but it’s hard to go against him when he’s being called a scumbag for a few trash-talk tweets.

Are Strahm and now Andrew Painter actually offended over Carrabis tweeting about Ort, a minor league pitcher, and now Strahm coughing up a two-run home run?

Give me a break. No wonder the Phillies can’t figure shit out over the first two months of the season. This is soft-ass behavior from any professional athlete. I bet that Bryce Harper hasn’t seen or heard about any of this because he definitely wouldn’t be happy about it.

A few weeks ago, he was talking shit to a bunch of kids who said he wouldn’t hit a home run in Colorado, calling them a bunch of losers before clearing the benches a game later and calling the entire Rockies organization losers.

Now we have the pitching guys getting butt hurt on Twitter?

Sorry. Can’t have it. Grow up.
