Nick Castellanos told 97.5 the Phillies brought back ‘Dancing On My Own’ which means I have to add it to my Spotify playlist and pretend to like it again

Nick Castellanos joined 97.5 The Fanatic Mid Day Show and let Phillies know that the team has officially brought back last year’s postseason song, “Dancing on My Own”.
Nick Castellanos: ‘Dancing On My Own’ is BACK in the Phillies’ clubhouse
Castellanos said that the Phillies started playing the song during the Nationals series that started on June 2nd. Since then, the Phillies are 7-3. Castellanos is hitting .442 with 19 hits, 3 home runs, 10 RBIs, and 6 runs scored in the month of June.
Maybe it actually works?
Those numbers seem to prove the power in dancing on your own so I guess it’s a good thing, right?
Meh.
Listen, the song was put to death earlier this year because the Phillies “didn’t want to listen to second place songs”. Did they brought it back again because they are in third place in the NL East Standings and they will retire it again if-and-when they at least move up to second place?
I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Here’s an unpopular opinion for all you freaks and geeks out there
At the end of the day, the song wasn’t really that great to begin with. It was more funny than anything because you had a bunch of professional baseball players listening to some cornball remix of a Robyn song and everyone was getting completely obliterated listening to it watching an improbable Phillies run to the World Series.
I was extremely happy the Phillies decided to kill it before the 2023 season even started.
Still, while I don’t like the song, you really can’t argue that when the month of June rolls around the Phillies tend to turn on the jets and as mentioned above, Nick Castellanos is having one of the best seasons of his career and The Fightins have played significantly better over the past two weeks compared to the start of the season.
Plus, I would literally die for Nick Castellanos. Whatever Casty says, goes. Period.
The song sucks, but if the results are there, it’s hard to argue against it.
Just win a game in Arizona tonight and I’ll literally listen to anything, anywhere, as loud as you want.
Maybe I’ll even grab a mic and sing? Who knows.
Play the damn song and let’s win some baseball games.
Aaron Nola is on the mound tonight. Ring it.
