LeSean McCoy hints at potential team-up with Skip Bayless on FS1’s Undisputed

After reports surfaced last week that ex-Eagles RB LeSean McCoy was auditioning to be Skip Bayless’ new co-host on FS1’s “Undisputed,” the former All-Pro took to Twitter Wednesday to essentially confirm it.
Shannon Sharpe said farewell to the program on Tuesday. Although Sharpe was emotional upon his departure, there seemed to be a lot of drama behind the scenes between him and Bayless.
Nevertheless, FS1 didn’t waste any time finding his replacement. Less than 24 hours after the final show featuring Skip and Shannon aired, LeSean McCoy Tweeted in all caps, “WISH ME LUCK.”
On Wednesday morning, Bayless chimed in, Tweeting, “Undisputed returns soon. Can’t wait.”
LeSean McCoy’s response:

Nothing has been officially confirmed yet by FS1, but I don’t think Shady would send these Tweets without knowing he was about to get the job.
This pairing makes a lot of sense, for obvious reasons. For starters, Skip is the most recognizable Cowboys fan in the country, and he doesn’t shy away from expressing that on-air. Whether it was Shannon Sharpe or Stephen A. Smith before him, Skip’s adversaries always defend the Eagles during the NFL season. Who better to match Skip up with than a former Eagle who’s already on record saying, “Dak is ass,” on national television.
Shady isn’t necessarily known for his well thought out takes, but he certainly brings the energy required to combat Skip’s mind-numbing rhetoric. In the end, that’s the type of TV every big sports outlet is going for nowadays.
As long as FS1 can cut up some viral clips from each episode – which I’m sure they’ll have no issue with – LeSean McCoy will be in the “Undisputed” chair for the foreseeable future.
