Kevin Durant joined a Twitter Space titled ‘Kevin Durant is not Top 5’ last night to tell all of the hosts their opinions on basketball are horrible

On Friday night, Kevin Durant decided to hop in a Twitter Space titled “Kevin Durant is not top 5” to address a bunch of NBA fans directly.
Kevin Durant joins “Kevin Durant is not Top 5” Twitter Space
“I just think how y’all even look at the game is whack as f—,” Durant said. “I just think how you all consume the game is trash. Are you good or not? Some things can be that simple.”
As someone who spends a lot of time on Twitter it’s amazing to see a player like Kevin Durant hop into these dumb Twitter spaces and address these “NBA Content Creators” head on by calling their view on basketball “whack as fuck”.
The host of the Twitter Space folded like a deck of cards too, fumbling over his words saying “I agree, I agree” while looking like a total idiot because his whole Twitter Space show again, was titled “Kevin Durant is not Top 5”.
I don’t know how anyone could even attempt to clown KD for doing so when this is something that no other NBA player would even think of doing.
Honestly, you just can’t let that happen inside your own Twitter Space. In this situation, I would have countered KD head on and say this was more of a statement saying that every single player in the NBA is “good” and the Twitter Space title was referring to “greatness” and told him straight up that he is NOT a Top 5 great as the name of of the show indicated (whether I believed it or not), but some people are ready for the spotlight and while others, as we just listened to, fold under pressure.
I’m not getting into the Top 5 debate regardless. I hate that type of conversation and as KD mentioned, people who view the game and report on the NBA that way are typically a bunch of cornballs.
I do however, think it’s cool that Durant, a generational talent, takes time to interact directly with fans. Hopefully more players will follow suit. It would be amazing to have these types of athletes hopping on all different types of Twitter Spaces to share their input.
Just the visual from the Twitter Space notification was hilarious.
