Patrick Beverley reveals Sixers’ jersey number, does pottery during his first day of Philly, shares message for James Harden

Patrick Beverley was formally introduced as one of the newest members of the Philadelphia 76ers over the weekend and today, spoke with the media about joining the Sixers while revealing what number he’ll wear during the 2023-24 season.
Last week, Beverley signed a one-year, $3.2 million deal with the Sixers. He averaged 6.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists while shooting 33.5% from deep playing for the Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls in the 2022-23 season.
The three-time All-Defense Team player has a history with Daryl Morey during his time with the Houston Rockets. He also played in a few games under Nick Nurse as a member of the 2012-12 Rio Grande Valley Vipers team that won the D League Championship.Â
Of course, Beverley was asked about the James Harden situation and he shared a simple message for Harden, saying that he ‘loves him’ and hopes that he will be in Philadelphia next season.

Beverley will join the Sixers’ bench unit that is currently still under construction.
It was announced last night that the Sixers matched Paul Reed’s offer sheet from the Utah Jazz, which means the Sixers now have four centers on their roster.
- Joel Embiid
- Mo Bamba
- Montrezl Harrell
- Paul Reed
Note: It’s safe to assume that Reed will eventually move over to the Power Forward position behind Tobias Harris given the Sixers’ log jam at the center position.
