First Look: Madden 24 ratings for Eagles wide receivers released

Football fans eagerly anticipate the release of each new Madden NFL game, not only for its gameplay (the same game every year) but also for the player ratings accompanying it.
These ratings reflect the real-life skills and abilities of the players, adding another layer of authenticity to the gaming experience. In this blog post, we’ll look closer at the Madden NFL 24 ratings for the Philadelphia Eagles wide receivers and see where they rank.
Philadelphia fans should especially be eager to see where their dynamic receiver duo ranks as A.J. Brown & DeVonta Smith terrorized defenses last year. But before we take a look at their ratings for this year’s game, let’s just go over last year so you have an idea of how much the tandem improved.
In Madden 23, A.J. Brown had an 87, while DeVonta Smith had an 83 rating on release day.
Eagles WR Cracks Top 10
Not too much of a surprise here to see A.J. Brown cracking the top 10. He set the Eagles single-season franchise receiving yards record.
AJ Brown last season:
- 88 receptions
- 1,496 yards (franchise record)
- 11 TDs
DeVonta Smith Makes Top 20 WR Ratings
Smitty’s Madden rating feels low. But if you compare him to the guys around him, I could see him climbing up the ranks into the 90s club. He is only 24, and many believe that he could overtake A.J. Brown as the Eagles’ #1 receiver.
DeVonta Smith last season:
- 95 receptions (franchise WR record)
- 1,196 yards
- 7 TDs
Many Eagles players will probably have slightly lower Madden ratings than expected due to the game trying to balance out. The Birds had a stacked roster last season, and heading into this year, that doesn’t appear to be any different. What should be noted is that much of the roster is still young and ascending.
HURTS TO DEVONTA. What a catch! #FlyEaglesFly
