Insane fan in UCLA shirt threatens to fight Phillies dugout, saves the season

It’s been a week of weird fans at Citizens Bank Park. So far, we’ve seen a kid in a Phillies jersey and Orioles hat and a dude in a middle finger mask, but this nutjob in a UCLA shirt may be the most consequential of the three.
UCLA Shirt Guy threatened to fight the Phillies after Bryce Harper homered to tie the game in the 6th inning:
While a video with a better view of the incident hasn’t yet been made public, the culprit could be easily spotted during Harper’s home run trot. You can tell just by the way he’s standing he’s ready to start some shit, and lo-and-behold, he did.

While the initial decision to toss him from the game is understandable, I think we may have been a little too hasty. Sure, he harassed our players, but there’s a damn good chance he saved our season.
The Phillies have been flat the past few series, and the low energy has bled over onto the field. Rob Thomson doesn’t seem like a ra-ra guy, so it can be tough to turn that around without some external kick in the ass.

Numbers don’t lie, and a 3-2 Phillies win is all the proof I need of that theory. I wouldn’t go as far as giving the guy season tickets, but I’d definitely give him Scott Rolen’s spot on the Wall of Fame. UCLA shirt guy has done arguably more for the organization while simultaneously hating it more than Rolen ever could.
Also, what the hell was he holding?? You know what, never mind. I’m afraid that will open Pandora’s box. I’m not ready for that.

He was holding a flyers shirt
No, he was holding an Orioles shirt and a Flyers shirt. He ripped the Orioles shirt (like he was taking it off). I worked that section.
Whatever that fan was doing, that fan was insane! That fan shouldn’t be allowed back if this is the way that fan is going to act.
