Instead of the $7.5M salary ($1.5M guaranteed) that he was owed in 2023, Barnett is now due $3.5M guaranteed with the potential to earn $2.25M more in incentives.

Barnett, 27, is a former first-round pick who hasn’t lived up to expectations but is still an integral piece of Philly’s DL rotation. Many believed Barnett was out the door last summer in free agency, but the Eagles re-signed him to a two-year deal.

Barnett was one of the unsung heroes in Philadelphia’s lone Super Bowl victory, recovering Brandon Graham’s strip-sack on Tom Brady late in the 4th quarter. He missed the entire 2022 season after suffering a torn ACL in Week 1.

In the season prior, Barnett recorded 46 tackles (7 for loss), 11 QB hits, and 2.0 sacks. Now the question is: what will Howie Roseman do with the additional cap space?
