Lane Johnson responds to low ranking in this year’s NFL Top 100
Year in and year out, Eagles RT Lane Johnson is consistently overlooked as one of the best players in football.
Johnson posted the second-highest PFF pass blocking grade (90.1) of any tackle in the NFL last season. Not to mention, he was a first-team All-Pro in 2022; with the other tackle being San Fran’s Trent Williams.
The guy literally hasn’t given up a sack in three years now. In fact, Lane Johnson was the only offensive lineman who didn’t surrender a single sack last season. Yet, he still can’t crack the top-third of this year’s NFL Top 100 list.
The NFL dropped their 50-41 rankings on Monday, where Johnson came in at No. 41. And of course, Lane took notice.

Suffice to say, Lane isn’t too happy with his placement on this year’s list. Can you really blame him?
It’s easy to brush off a rankings list from an outlet like ESPN or CBS Sports, but when it’s your own peers that disrespect you like this, you should take some offense to it. The players vote on this list, which in all honesty makes Lane’s low placement even more bizarre.
How many times does Lane Johnson have to completely neutralize an opposing team’s top pass rusher for him to get some respect? Honestly, it may never happen at this point.
