Temple University Athletics officially unveiled a new logo today.
Temple University Athletics unveils new Owl Mark
Trust me. I was just as shocked as you were to find out that Temple University had an athletics department but apparently they do and now have a new owl logo to go with it.
It looks like they finally decided to move on from their NSFW “Sexy Owl” logo that shocked students and other people that happened to stumble upon a Temple athletics event by accident.

The Temple Owl logo has been used since 1996, but now the university will retreat back to the Temple ’T’ logo that was initially designed back in 1983.
History of Temple University Logos

Don’t get me wrong. I actually do wish Temple University had a respectable athletics program so at least one of the Big 5 schools in Philadelphia was actually good, but unfortunately, that’s just not the case and hasn’t been in a very long time.
What makes things even worse, is I have to listen to Temple graduates and current students try to convince me that EJ Warner is the next coming of Jesus and will save the football program from yet another embarrassing season.
Unfortunately, new logo or sexy owl logo, I doubt that will be the case.
Owls fans actually think they stand a chance in beating the Miami Hurricanes on September 23rd at Lincoln Financial Field when everyone who’s not brainwashed already knows that it’s basically going to be a Miami home game and a double-digit loss for Temple.
If Temple Athletics were smart, they would play the game at Garnet Valley High School, home of the Jaguars. They share a similar colors already and have a fighting chance to actually sellout a football game. Seems like the perfect match.
Temple might be able to sell out Garnet Valley Football Stadium
