The NFL preseason is officially underway and already, we are getting viral videos of fans fighting in the stands. In the first brawl of the NFL season, we have San Francisco 49ers fans beating the crap out of each other.

If you’ve been reading The Liberty Line then you know very well where we stand when it comes to fans fighting in any capacity at sporting events. It’s always a resounding “no” and watching grown adults act like complete children, ruining the game experience for anyone around them is embarrassing behavior. 

However, there’s something about watching San Francisco 49ers fans all beat the crap out of each other during a preseason game, mainly thanks to their horrible takes from media members and fans regarding the city of Philadelphia and Eagles’ fans. 

Of course, everyone remembers the absolute beating the Eagles put on the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game last season.

Around that time, San Francisco sports talk radio hosts bashed their experience attending the game at Lincoln Financial Field.

These crisis actors,  Bonta Hill and Joe Shasky, who apparently do the morning show for 95.7 The Game in San Francisco, were in Philadelphia that weekend and called Philly fans low-life, vile, “fake gangsters” because they were booed wearing 49ers gear with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. We soon learned, judged by their very own social media posts, that it was all complete bullshit.

Much like the actual 49ers players, these radio hosts continued to bash Philadelphia and Eagles’ fans as recently as last month, saying that Philly fans are the worst in all of sports and complete scumbags. 

Side Note: WIP giving these losers a platform is a whole different story. Simply can’t happen on a Philadelphia sports talk radio station. 

So what now?

The Philadelphia Eagles welcomed over 50,000 fans for an open practice a few weeks ago and just held a preseason game at Lincoln Financial Field with zero reported instances of our fans fighting our own fans. 

Will the opinions of Hill and Shasky change? Will they even address this behavior while farming for clicks and engagement on their shitty radio show that has done nothing but complain about the Eagles’ and their fanbase solely because their 49ers got destroyed in the NFC Championship.
