Sad: Nick Wright gets tattoo predicting 20-0 season from Kansas City; team loses on opening night to Detroit

Life comes at you fast, Nick Wright.
The FS1 host and insufferable Kansas City Chiefs fan has been gloating about his favorite team all offseason. I would have been doing the same thing if the Eagles won the Super Bowl. What I wouldn’t have done, however, is predicted a 20-0 season from my team this year, while subsequently getting a tattoo to really lock-in the hot take.
On the September 1 edition of FS1’s “First Things First,” Nick Wright made his 20-0 prediction and revealed to the world that he really is as dumb as he looks.

As we all know, the sports media business has turned into a hot take pissing contest. Whoever says the most ridiculous shit during an episode of any flagship sports talk program typically wins the day. They’ll generate the most clicks on social media, which in turn generates more money for the television station. Rinse and repeat.
From a hot take perspective, Nick Wright obviously knocked it out of the park here. Not only did he get a tattoo to solidify his take, but the tattoo is ambiguous enough to brush it off when confronted. Oh, this little tattoo right here? Yeah, “Never a Doubt” that the Chiefs would win the division this year! “Never a Doubt” that Patrick Mahomes would throw for 500 yards in this random regular season game! It can be applied to almost anything, which is probably why Nick Wright actually had the balls to get it in the first place.
No shot that guy would have actually gotten a “20-0, 2023 Super Champs Kansas City Chiefs” tattoo on his arm like a real sicko. That type of stuff is reserved for the truly twisted sports fans. Those people need to find God.
Nevertheless, it’s still hilarious that his prediction went up in smoke during opening night.
At least he’s being a good sport about it.
